It's an emotion that resembles competition but that takes things a little too far. With stars in her eyes, little Envy looks with wonder and fascination at the outside world. But one thing is certain: it will not come alone. Anxiety will probably challenge Riley, dictate her behavior, and maybe even turn her into a stronger, more resilient teenager. This sequel will most probably delve into Riley's struggle with such a rebellious, untamed emotion and how she will manage to maneuver it without letting it shrink her as a person. Growing a voice and a personality will create opposition, criticism, and, evidently, an anxiety-ridden reality. As a young adult, we expect Riley to go into the world with high expectations but with a shaky heart, nonetheless, exposing her true self to the sometimes brutal judgment of friends, peers, and family members. It's not an emotion that can easily coexist with Riley's other emotions or seamlessly blend into her world. In fact, this emotion's violent entrance that resembles a raid suggests that it will do some damage and create utter chaos in the little girl's world. Anxiety, who arrives following the team of construction workers (and other emotions) tearing down Riley's neatly constructed mental stability, will be voiced by Maya Hawke. ![]()
